Some facts about the Circuit de Monaco
The Circuit de Monaco is a street circuit featured on the Formula 1® calendar when racing comes to Monte Carlo. The circuit features with many elevation shifts, tight corners and narrow streets, making it one of the most demanding Formula 1® circuits. Monaco has been on the F1® calendar since 1950, however there have been races at the circuit since 1929. The Circuit de Monaco is the shortest track on the F1® calendar, with a circuit length of only 3.337 km, resulting in it having the highest number of laps (78). The circuit is also famous for its Fairmont hairpin corner (turn 6) and the only F1® “indoor corner” in the tunnel at turn 9.
