The first official F1® Delta Time crate sale, held from 25th February till 9 March 2020, sold a total of 2,375 crates, including over 94% of top tier (Legendary) crates.

The crate sale generated over US$364,000 in sales and made F1® Delta Time the top blockchain game as ranked by 24-hour, 7-day, and 30-day trade volume on both DappRadar and Dapp.com.

Many of the F1® Delta Time digital collectibles are also trading on public marketplaces such as OpenSea, where F1® Delta Time became during the sale also the highest ranked DApp by volume on the platform (over 320 ETH or approximately A$100,000).

Crates in F1® Delta Time are ERC-20 tokens and were available in 4 tiers: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Each crate contains 5 NFTs, including race cars, drivers, car components, driver gear, or tyres. The contents of crates are random, with cars and drivers being the rarest to obtain. Players can choose to open their crates, sell them to other players, or hold on to them for future use.

Each tier of crates has a limited supply, and the total numbers of crates sold were:

  • Common Crates: 678
  • Rare Crates: 517
  • Epic Crates: 706
  • Legendary Crates: 474

As previously communicated, all unsold crates, NFTs in them and unlocked Apex cars, were destroyed when the sale ended. During the sale we also released a Beta version of the Workshop, so our players can have a feel about what’s to come!

Apex Vermilion Bird, China Edition 2019 — Lucky Draw

With over 2,000 crates sold, F1® Delta Time has unlocked the truly unique Apex car, Vermilion Bird, as a prize for a lucky draw. The first of the China Edition 2019 cars, Azure Dragon, was previously sold at auction for 91 ETH. As the other two China Edition 2019 Cars have been destroyed, this Apex beauty has become even more rare.

In total 6200 tickets were issued for the players who participated in the crate sale. Winner will be selected in a lucky draw on xxth March 2020.

Staking car NFTs to generate in-game currency

In F1® Delta Time, cars are NFTs and will have the ability to generate REV through “Staking”, with rarer cars generating higher amounts of REV. REV is an ERC-20 token and the primary in-game currency in F1® Delta Time.

When you choose to Stake your car, you temporarily transfer ownership to F1® Delta Time and lose the ability to use, race or trade that car, but you will earn REV based on the period of time that your car is Staked.
